We were a bit nervous about getting it done because the original job (done by someone else) was pretty poorly done. However we need not have worried. Edinburgh Paving Solutions were brilliant. John and his team have done a fantastic job for us - friendly, well priced, accommodating and professional. We had an old slab and gravel driveway and paths that was tired, weed-ridden and had plastic membrane sticking up all over the place; I had expected good things but was genuinely impressed by the quality and finish of the monoblock install, with a lot of attention to detail. The team also went above and beyond to deal with some level issues our existing driveway had and the discovery of an additional manhole that had been covered by our old slabs. The driveway is exactly what we wanted, was completed quickly and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Edinburgh Paving Solutions on that basis.

Edinburgh Paving Solutions did our patio and the result is stunning! The work included levelling of the ground, putting sandstone slabs (sawn and honed of 4 mixed sizes), replanting trees and adding edges next to some of the tree areas. John, Paddy and their team did a first-class job at a very competitive price. The workmanship of Deano, who laid the slabs, was of the highest quality, and all the workers were professional and friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending this company, you will not be disappointed!

In August 2019 someone accidentally knocked my fence down along with other damage to coping stones etc, not knowing where to start looking for someone capable of carrying out repairs I searched through yell.com for advice. After approaching a couple of local companies I then called Edinburgh Paving Solutions for a quote. A quick response along with a reasonably priced and detailed estimate from the owner John gave me the confidence that his company were the one to go with.

Work was carried out to my satisfaction by three polite, hardworking and tidy workmen. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone.

If Carlsberg did driveways! John and his son Paddy along with his men could not have been any more professional, polite, clean and efficient. We were conned by a so called contractor, found John on Google read all the great reviews, met him with my wife and right from the start no sales pressure, just a calm explanation of what needs to be done, how long it will take and how much, call me when/if you want it done plus a 5 year warranty! Top man honest and reliable worth every penny! Even met us at the merchants to give us advice on the mono locks!

Great new drive

We recently had a new block paving drive installed and Edinburgh Paving Solutions did a great job.

All the guys worked tirelessly from start to finish and were all really friendly.

There was a huge amount of excavation completed in one day then two days later we had a beautiful new drive.

There was torrential rain the next day and all the water ran away perfectly.

Great value. Great team. Great result.

1st Class team

Spoke to John 2 years ago after plucking his name amongst others out of the Local advertiser. He was the only one that called me back which was a good sign for me as I work in construction myself so impressed straight away. Whilst we waited a wee while to get job done he was always getting the job. Turned up as booked came in with his team and with minimal disruption completed the job and left a 1st class job. The team even impressed my elderly neighbour by stopping the traffic so she could reverse out her driveway. Both my wife and I are delighted and would recommend John and his team to anyone.

Good job on front steps. Quick and efficient.

I needed my front doorsteps relayed and a ramp built at the side of my house. Edinburgh Paving Solutions responded quickly with a competitive quote and were able to start the job almost immediately. Driveway 10/10 excellent

I had 3 estimates for my driveway as it is good to see what other people say,

First company I had in just asked what ideas had the other companies offered me and what kind of budget I would be wanting to spend on my driveway, so that was a no go from the start.

Second company came round had a look didn't even measure up and called me that night with an estimate, another nonstarter.

Number 3 lucky for me Edinburgh Paving Solutions they came they saw, they measured the job and emailed me the quote over a few days later as discussed with I'm so glad of Checkatrade. Com thanks guys for your hard work.

Driveway!

Edinburgh Paving Solutions renewed our tired old driveway with a beautiful Tegula paving one. And fitted kerbs to match and a distinct border around the driveway and it was well within budget as I got four estimates for the work they weren't the cheapest but I felt they dealt with us with the most professionally and instilled us with the most confidence in us that they would leave us with an amazing end product as they did a great job.

New driveway installed

I have just had my driveway done by EPS and they did an excellent job, it looks amazing. Quality ,friendly and reliable

Local recommendations count for a lot.

Edinburgh Paving Solutions is a company and relies on word of mouth and other contractor recommendations. They initially did our back garden pathways and then our main driveway.

They know how to give particular attention to detail such as design (drainage / manhole covers / gas utilities beneath the driveway) appropriate stone work and attention to detail. This involved an in invitation to see some of their work in progress and discussing the various options. Quality comes from attention to a good foundation which provides a lasting product.

For the driveway, they replaced our existing York paving slabs with similar stone work. They removed, old slabs which they sold and gave us a significant discount on the final cost. The end result has been a quality driveway and many great comments from neighbours, the price considered very good value.

I cannot now here my wife driveway since the driveway is so smooth and quite.

Driveway - decking

We had Edinburgh Paving Solutions around for a quotation for work at our new house as they were not the cheapest quote but we were looking for someone who had experience in what we were looking to achieve once we decided we were giving the job to EPS we were impressed with the speed things were done dates, samples, products etc. It was all plain sailing and the end result was fantastic great service from the all the staff nothing was a hassle as I changed 2 things not a problem thanks again.

My Review for Edinburgh Paving Solutions - 9 May 2016

We noticed a driveway/garden in our neighbourhood being transformed, took a note of Edinburgh Paving Solutions’ contact details and within a few weeks our bumpy, cracked, uneven driveway, path and untidy lawn have been transformed into a beautiful 80% decoratively paved/20% area for planting space. It’s now neat, tidy, presentable, easy to maintain and makes the entire front garden look much bigger. The workmanship is meticulous, the guys on site were polite, considerate and ensured that all waste was taken off-site on a daily basis. We would highly recommend Edinburgh Paving Solutions. A Hamilton, Brunstane area of Edinburgh.

Fencing and paving installation in rear garden.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Edinburgh Paving Solutions. Once I accepted the quote we agreed on a start date and work commenced on time. John told me that once his Team started the job they would be there until it was finished - no going away to work on other jobs - and that is exactly what happened. John himself checked up on the job at least twice a day and was always available to talk through any minor issues or questions I had as the job progressed. (Very much a "can do" approach)

Very hard workers and tidied up each night before they left the job. Very friendly too.

I am delighted with my driveway and the work is faultless. They even managed to get a near match on the harling on the perimeter wall to match that of my house. Well done all. Ann C

I had a few local companies round to quote for my driveway I felt at ease with Edinburgh Paving Solutions as nothing was a trouble references were available and samples of different paving and colours etc other companies just wanted me to sign up that day with the incentive of 25 percent off the job just far too quick for me as I was on my own and had to make a quick decision I was a little concerned and could start the following day so I went with not the cheapest but my job went really well from start to finish and fine detailed edging and walling all I can say superb to the lads and will continue to recommend your company to friends and family thanks for all your hard work EPS. ��

Excellent job - 5 star tradesmen! Very good value!

John of Edinburgh Paving Solutions (EPS) is brilliant to work with. From the opening discussions on our garden paving and design project, he helped us plan what we wanted and gave all sorts of useful and practical advice of what could be done. He was also infinitely patient with our occasional changes of mind on some points! We went for granite slabs which Malcolm - the main tradesman on site - did a fantastic job in laying. He took great care and did the job really carefully and with lots of attention to detail, e.g. finishing off around the conservatory, etc. A fair and reasonable price had been agreed and accepted, and Malcolm and the guys didn't try to rush the job to "get it done". We were very impressed by their skill and professionalism. As a bonus, they were also a really nice, friendly and considerate bunch of guys to have around for just over a week. Based on our experience, we have no hesitation giving this company 5* rating and we would strongly recommend them to anyone.

Patio Area and Fence

I had my patio area and new fence done by Edinburgh Paving and was very happy with the work completed. John came to house and discussed what was involved. Patio area looks great as does fence. Would recommend to anyone. Work was done very quickly and exactly as discussed.

Excellent Work, Excellent Pavers

We had Edinburgh Paving Solutions re pave a very tired decking area at the back of the house. From start to finish the boys did a great job, from the first estimate to the finished product. It was a pleasure to have them do the work and they were friendly and respectful of the property even though they had to move paving stones and cement through the house. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for any outdoor garden or patio work! Many Thanks!

Fantastic company! I have used their service numerous times and recommended them a hundred times more. They are professional, efficient and completely focused on providing quality workmanship. New Patio

Edinburgh Paving Solutions came out to replace old decking. John came promptly and walked us through all the options. The team arrived when they said they would and worked hard to complete the job within the time agreed (I think even a little quicker!). There were a couple of minor snags for completion - John and the team were quick to respond and resolve any issues.

We love our new driveway

I liked John from the start. Unlike other people we had invited to come round, he came when he said he would, listened to us and did what he said he would.

He and his team were efficient, polite and finished things on time to a great standard. John changed a minor thing we wanted to adjust too and his team were very polite to our neighbours throughout the project. You don´t see often tradesmen charging on completion and this was another plus as we had heard horrendous stories of people vanishing with the money before finishing the job.

I would highly recommend John´s Edinburgh Paving Solutions for all your landscaping and paving needs and we will definitely keep them in mind for any future changes to our patio or garden.

Smart new driveway

John listened to what I thought and helped me to plan the work. His hard-working team came when they said they would and carried out the work in a week. They were considerate to the neighbours, cleared up as they went along and have replaced my horrible broken slabs and untidy grass with a smart new driveway and planting area. They even renewed some rotten fencing at no extra cost!

Great work ethic

Replaced fencing panels and trellis and laid a heavy duty concrete shed base. They came well equipped and were fast, thorough, reasonably priced and left no mess. I'd use them again without hesitation.

Monoblocking

The workmen turned up on time each day and were very pleasant and well-mannered. They talked me through each stage of the work and offered advice and ideas when appropriate. The job was finished early and on-budget.

Excellent service would recommend

We love our decking.

Lewis and his chaps were great - on time, tidy and friendly! Good advice on how to design the decking and which wood to use etc. All in all worth the money, and the decking looks fantastic! I would definitely recommend this company as it was recommended to my wife and I by our neighbour.

Job well done

Edinburgh Paving Solutions offers an excellent service from start to finish.

We were quoted a great price for all the work and their team started within a few days. They worked hard clearing all the old fence panels and an old wood shed. The new fence looks amazing and has made a huge difference to the garden.

I was surprised at how clear and tidy the garden was left after having all the work done.
